Tax Strategy & CPA
Tax planning happens all year. Filing is just the paperwork.
Most people meet their preparer once, in spring, to record decisions already made. ACap is a full-service CPA firm that runs projections before the year starts, adjusts as income changes, and files the return with the same team that built the plan.

Is this right for you?
Four signs your tax work is reactive.
Reactive tax work isn’t incompetent — it’s just too late. By the time a return is being prepared, almost every decision that affects the number has already been made. These are the signals we hear most.
We don’t offer one-time tax preparation or transactional engagements. If what you need is a single return filed, another firm is the better fit — and we’d rather you know that here than three meetings from now.
Scope of engagement
Four pillars, fully integrated.
Tax Planning
& Projections
Pillar 01
The core of the engagement. Multi-year projections run before the year begins and revisited as income changes, so decisions are made while they can still be changed.
- Multi-year tax projections
- Quarterly estimated payments
- Withholding review
- Roth conversion analysis
- Capital gain and loss timing
- Year-end positioning
Business & Individual Tax Preparation
Pillar 02
A full-service CPA firm with extensive experience across individual, entity, trust, and non-profit returns, including multi-state filing.
- Individual returns
- Multi-state filing
- Corporate returns
- Partnership returns
- Trust returns
- Non-profit returns
Entity Structure & Owner Compensation
Pillar 03
For business owners, structure and compensation drive the tax outcome more than any deduction. Reviewed annually, not once at formation.
- Entity selection review
- S-corp election analysis
- Owner salary and distribution mix
- Multi-entity coordination
- Retirement plan selection
- Succession considerations
Bookkeeping, Payroll & Compliance
Pillar 04
Delivered through ACap Accounting Services, Inc. Clean books are what make planning possible — projections are only as good as the data behind them.
- Monthly bookkeeping
- Payroll processing
- Financial statement preparation
- Sales and payroll tax filings
- Compliance calendar
- Business advisory support
Limited liability companies (LLCs) taxed as a partnership or corporation (S or C)
Single-member limited liability companies (SMLLC)
Corporations (S and C corporations)
Individual, including multi-state
Trusts
Partnerships
Non-profit organizations
Most clients hold more than one of these. Preparing them together is what makes the planning work.
The same rhythm runs for every client. Predictable cadence is what turns tax preparation into tax planning.

Engagement & fees
One relationship. One annual minimum.
ACap serves clients through ongoing advisory relationships rather than one-time transactions. Your engagement begins with a single $10,000 annual client relationship minimum, met through wealth management, business tax and accounting, family office, or any combination of the three.
Tax and accounting scope is established in the consultation, based on the work your situation actually requires. The annual client relationship minimum applies.
We are compensated by our clients, only. No commissions, no product sales, no hidden fees, and no incentives that influence our recommendations.
Portfolio management and financial planning are handled by the same team — see Wealth Management. Households with multiple entities and trusts may be better served by Family Office.
The best time to change your tax bill is before the year ends.
A 30- minute call to review last year’s return, what it cost you, and what a year-round approach would have done differently.
